Dear Sir/Madam,

Anderson Junior College Alumni Association (AJCAA) is a non-profit organization, formed by a group of Anderson Junior College (AJC) graduates in March 2001. AJCAA is run by a group of active volunteers whose key objectives are to promote and maintain friendship as well as to assist the needy AJC students. We exist not for ourselves. In line with our college motto, "Non Mihi Solum", AJCAA has constantly worked with the current students to support some community projects.

In 2005, AJCAA set up a bursary fund to support needy AJC graduates to pursue their tertiary education. At the AJC 20th anniversary dinner, AJCAA received a generous donation of approximately S$14,000 from all ex-AJCians for the bursary fund. Since then, AJCAA has awarded 9 bursaries to students who required financial assistance. Each bursary award is at S$1,200, in 2008, this was increased to S$1,500 to cope with the increase in cost of living.

There has been no fundraising drive for the bursary fund since 2005. As such, our bursary fund will be fully drawn down in 2014.

2011 marks the 10th anniversary of AJCAA. To celebrate these 10 long years of commitment, we will be launching a performance called THE REUNION2 on 30 July 2011. Following the successful performance THE REUNION1 4 years ago, AJCAA would like to present THE REUNION2 to bring friends of AJC together and enjoy an evening of light-hearted performances specially prepared by our volunteer interest groups.

All proceeds from this AJCAA "REUNION 2" production will be contributed to the AJCAA Bursary.

The objectives of THE REUNION2 are:

  1. to foster and maintain friendship
  2. to recollect the fond memories of college life
  3. to carry out social responsibility duties of raising funds for the bursary fund

All performances are staged by volunteer interest groups. Despite heavy work and study schedules, ex-AJCians return to college almost every week since January 2011 to practise. We look forward to their great performances!

AJCAA targets to raise funds to support 10 bursary awards i.e. total target bursary fund to meet is S$15,000. We are writing to you to request for a minimum amount of S$50 contribution to this bursary fund. Your generosity will help make a worthy student see through his/her undergraduate course with lesser financial burden. The candidate can spend more time on studies instead of looking for funds to meet his/her school fees demands.

THE REUNION2 is organized by AJCAA and fully supported by volunteers. We seek your support towards a full house performance. Tickets are selling at S$20 and S$50.

In appreciation of your kind sponsorship, AJCAA will acknowledge your name on our website as our bursary sponsors. We will send you an acknowledgement letter at the end of the performance, including a disclosure of the bursary fund-raising outcome to indicate our sincerity and to maintain transparency in this fund-raising drive.

On behalf of the future bursary recipients and THE REUNION2 team, AJCAA would like to thank you for your sponsorship! We sincerely wish you a smooth sailing year ahead!

Please confirm your sponsorship by signing the section below and returning to us by 22 July 2011. Please feel free to contact me at 9751-7434 or email me at if you need any clarification.

Thank you & best regards,
for and on behalf of AJCAA
