AJCAA Tutoring Programme 2015

Duration: 29 August 2015 to 17 October 2015

For the tenth consecutive year, AJCAA has organized the AJCAA Tutoring Programme for the graduating students of AJC, in order to support them in their studies.

For 2015, 7 tutoring sessions were held in the reading room at AJC. Through this program, we have helped 48 students who were in need of academic support in subjects like General Paper, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Economics.

The programme was highly received by the tutees, who opined that they generally benefited from the programme and that they are keen to come back the following year as tutors so as to give back to the College. They also mentioned that they appreciated the College and AJCAA's efforts to provide such a program to help them prepare for the A-levels.

We would also like to thank our 19 fantastic alumni who took time out of their busy schedules to come down on Saturday mornings from 9 am to 12 pm to guide our juniors on their academic path. AJCAA would like to offer our most sincere appreciation for their commitment and concern for our juniors. Indeed, they have exemplified the spirit of Non Mihi Solum.

In view of their contributions, we have presented them with a certificate and transport reimbursements on 2 occasions — the 'A' Level Results Release and AJCAA Annual AGM 2016.

AJCAA would like to thank the AJC School Advisory Committee for the full funding of the transportation reimbursements to our fellow alumni tutors.

We have started our recruitment for Alumni Tutoring 2016, which will now be held on Friday evenings instead of Saturday mornings. If you are interested in joining our Tutoring Programme as a tutor, you can indicate your interest to volunteer for the program at: http://bit.ly/1oZJ0ua
